News, Notes, and Reminders
Tuesday Primary: Since Bristol Eastern High School is a polling center, primary voting will take place here on Tuesday. Polling will take place on the front side of the gym. Voters will be entering through the main entrance and will be directed by a worker to the gym. The area will be monitored and no one will be allowed to enter/exit except through the front main doors. Dr. Moreau has stressed that we need to have parking available for the voters, including handicapped parking. For that reason, please leave the row closest to the school empty and park in faculty parking (center, but facing the neighborhood). Please let me know if you need a handicapped space; we'll find another location for you to park that is close to the school.Tuesday Board of Finance Meeting: Thank you to Pat Hickey, Dennis Griffin, Michelle Burns, Sarah Maestre, John Harris, Tom Montague, Laura Stabile, John Stavens, Sharon Jacques, Ray Lecara, Stephanie Jacques, Mike Higgins, and Debbie Tager (and anyone else whom I may have missed) for attending last week's Board of Finance meeting. It showed how much our staff believes in the value of an education for our students in Bristol. The support our teachers have for one another is incredible and I very much appreciate that our veteran teachers are expressing their concern for our newest members of our faculty. There will be another Board of Finance meeting held Tuesday, here at Bristol Eastern High School. Our continued presence will help to show how much as a community we care about the quality education we provide to our students.
Reminder: Please send me your most improved students asap so that I can forward their names for free Yard Goats baseball tickets. They must be submitted by Wednesday, April 27th.
Evaluations: Information about the evaluation process will be posted this week. End of year conferences will begin in May.
Yearly Average Calculator: One of our AVID teachers developed this tool for students to use to calculate the average they will need to achieve in order to meet their desired final grade. Feel free to share with your students. Please note that in some cases, it might not be wise to share this tool with some students so they do not completely check out of school before the end of the school year. https://docs.google.com/a/bristolk12.org/spreadsheets/d/1eTowyr5PlYYh5rXWQ_9yBGIMx3tqbRl5D9iyk6h-408/edit#gid=0
