News, Notes, and Reminders

Holiday Cards:   We'd love to see all of the little ones.  If you have an extra holiday card that features your loved ones, please leave one in our office and we'll create a display for everyone.

Holiday Get Together:  Please consider stopping by the Holiday Open House this Friday after school.  You can rsvp here:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bJ3aRGcexU8hZBr1azI3t-OJ_f8qX9syW0WoO_CszK0/edit#gid=0

Ugly Sweater/Cookie contest:  On Friday, don't forget to wear your ugly sweater!  We're also having a cookie contest.  Please bring your cookies to the library before school.  We'll have them available for eating (I mean, judging) there and in our office throughout the day.  Please come by--ugly sweater not required!

So be good for goodness sake:   As I mentioned last Wednesday, we had the lowest number of referrals this year.  This can be tricky data because I hope it represents that our students are behaving better and does not represent teachers' not feeling comfortable to refer students to the office.  As we head into the last two weeks before holiday break, let's stay consistent with our rules--especially hoods and headphones.  We are in this together and we need everyone on board and in the hallways supporting the BE way.

Common Assessments:  The Office of Teaching and Learning plans on distributing final copies of the common assessments to teachers this Wednesday. Please keep us informed if you do not receive your assessment.

Student of the Month:    Do not miss this opportunity to recognize those students who have demonstrated our core expectations around responsibility and respect.  Please be sure to enter your nominations here for student of the month: https://docs.google.com/a/bristolk12.org/forms/d/1-i7HpozrADx3bkvDKSwqJFWqgK3IbpFKIxU7sxcYM_0/viewform

News and Notes:

Progress:  The progress period will end on December 7th.  All grades must be up to date and complete by December 10th.  Progress reports will be printed on that date.  Please remember that eligibility for ALL after school extracurricular activities is impacted by progress and end of term grades, so please be sure that what you have entered is accurate.

Student of the Month:  We haven't received any nominations for student of the month.  Please submit your nominations asap here.

Winter weather:  Since weather can be unpredictable, it would be wise to have a few copies of the delayed opening and early dismissal schedules handy.  Here is the link:  http://www.bristol.k12.ct.us/uploaded/Bristol_eastern/Student_Handbook.pdf  Schedules begin on page 14.

Midyear conferences:   Midyear conferences and IDT midyear reviews will occur in January.  Prior to the conferences, you'll want to review your goals and data.
