Club Fair: Please encourage your students to attend the club fair during all lunch waves on Thursday. This year, our freshmen teams are making a concerted effort to link every freshmen to a club or activity. If you want to ensure that students do take the time to visit the clubs, please come down with your class.Bristol data: The Bristol database has been updated with AP scores, PSAT, and the SAT scores from last year. To access this database, you'll need the IP address from the board. If you would like me to send it to you, please email me.
Streaming films/movies: Please be aware that you should not be using your personal Netflix accounts or other accounts to show films to classes of students. The Connecticut Education Network has contacted us once last Spring and again this month to inform us of an IP Address originating here at Bristol Eastern High School that has accessed copyrighted material. We have not yet been able to identify the single computer or device that is streaming either of the videos but I did want to remind you of the copyrighted laws pertaining to showing films.
STEAMfest: The Bristol Boys and Girls Club is looking for teachers and students who'd like to share an exhibit of their work in the science, technology, engineering, arts, and math areas at their STEAMfest held on Saturday, October 24th. Mary Hyde was the first teacher to volunteer to demonstrate activities she's done with her classes. We're certainly looking to represent some of the high quality work our students have done. If you're interested, please let me know. It could be an excellent opportunity for our students to demonstrate their work as well.
College and Career Fair. Thursday, September 24, from 6-8pm Please remind your students that over 100 colleges and careers will be represented and it is NEVER too early to start thinking about life after high school.

Student of the Month: Enter your nominations for students of the month here. We’ll review all nominations by September 30th for announcement on October 1st or 2nd.
Mini-grants! The Mini-grant application was emailed last week. I strongly encourage you to think about what your classrooms might need to further the goals you have for your students. We’ve been able to purchase elmos, kindles, and more through these grants. They are due October 30th.
