Baseball and softball start their scrimmages this week; both teams are away.  Spring is in the air!

News, Notes, and Reminders

Field Trips.  Knowing that our students in Bristol may not have frequent opportunities to leave the city, I believe field trips are an valuable part of students' learning experiences for school and for their own lives.  Now that we're in the last quarter, I'm seeing more field trip proposals.  I wanted to provide advanced notice that if subs are not available in the district to cover field trips, we will not be able to approve the trip.  We may not also be able to approve the trip depending on the number of field trips occurring around the same time. 

Also, if you have a field trip planned, please be sure that you follow the procedures for field trip planning with our school nurse.  We now have a number of students who would require a nurse to be present on the field trip.  Our school nurses would not be able to attend.  If a nurse is needed, we must order one at least 4 weeks in advance.  If we cannot provide a nurse and one is needed, the entire trip must be canceled.
