Professional Development on Tuesday, November 4
8:30-10:00am: Unit Planning/Development, incl.
assessments
Location: Begin in your departments and move into data teams
Your department chairs will review our goals for our years' work and
departments will choose next steps (continue unit planning, continue to develop
assessments, review the work that has been completed).
10:15-11:45am: EdCamp Style meeting--PLEASE,
PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!
Locations: TBD at BE
This is an opportunity to have discussions, explore resources, share
strategies, etc. about topics of YOUR choosing. Feedback was positive about
this opportunity last year. However, for this Tuesday, there are almost NO
topics yet suggested. Please keep in mind that by proposing a topic and
agreeing to facilitate the conversation, there is not an expectation that you
need to prepare a presentation. You're really inspiring a conversation by
developing a question or using the time to meet a need you've found in your own
practice. Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/a/bristolk12.org/spreadsheets/d/1h4pQaFM-fR-8tYHA9aF_pZctOYLZABJPWVPKeKxZPU8/edit#gid=0
On Tuesday morning, staff can review the opportunities and choose which
meeting they'd like to attend. If you do not see anything you'd like to discuss, start your own discussion.
I've heard people discussing: classroom management, vocabulary
instruction, interdisciplinary connections, technology, google, AVID
strategies--all would make great topics.
If your data team is planning to use the entire day to continue their work
in unit planning, some one from your data team should enter that into our
unmeeting list.
POTLUCK LUNCH: Come join the potluck! Add your item
