Professional Time

There is NO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY (and the crowd goes wild!)  Enjoy your day.  Please keep our own BEHS veterans as well as veterans across the nation in your hearts and minds on Wednesday.

Our Service Study Hall students created cards for Veterans.  These will be sent to Walter Reed Medical Center.

Notes:
The Admin/Guidance Meeting on Tuesday will focus on Attendance.  Guidance counselors--please review counselor watch and update notes.
Please be sure to sign up for the Save A Life Tour.  The video presentation during first block was very powerful and had a great impact on students when they viewed the presentation two years ago.

Students of the Month
Madeline Rodriguez, Grade 9:    Maddy models respectful behavior among her peers and faculty.  As an AVID student, Maddy has disciplines work habits and is a role model in the class. She goes above and beyond expectations to be successful.

Emma Guilmette, Grade 10:  Emma is a leader within BETA. She is kind, respectful of other people (not just mine and Allen's) time and effort they are putting into the production. She does what is expected of her, often without being asked and works very well and closely with her cast and crew members to make the production run smoother.  She not only knew EVERY line of the show for our line call (which has never happened since I started working with BETA), she encourages other students to be doing their best as well. When she is not needed on stage or for costumes, Emma often just sits with her castmates and practices. No one every tells her to do this, she just does it. Likewise, she is the first to volunteer for things that are "not in her job description." She will help whatever and whoever with anything. She just truly wants to make this the best production it can be. I can already see a tremendous amount of growth and maturity in Emma from her freshman year in BETA. She is the ideal student. Smart, respectful, kind, funny, and extremely hard working. I am so beyond proud of all that she has accomplished so far and so excited for all the wonderful things she is going to do. She is not the type of student that asks for a lot of attention, or wants people to recognize her for what she is doing. She just does it. 

Harrison Dayton, Grade 11:  Academically, Harrison is a rock star, taking AP Calc, AP Biology, AP Government, Biotechnical Engineering, and ACC Latin. He exudes excellence  Harrison is always respectful and polite in class, and shows respect amongst his peers as well - offering to help students understand concepts or work through difficult problems.

Paisley Tucker, Grade 12:  Paisley is a faculty favorite for her kind-hearted, respectful nature. She always strives for excellence. As a senior, she is not taking the "easy" route - she is doubling up in science and is taking pre-calc and Spanish 4.  She often volunteers outside of school and was a tremendous help to Mrs. Hyde and Mrs. Kielma at the STEAMFest!

Pep Rally Notices:
For Safety:
1.  We will not be allowing alumni for pep rally.
2.  Parents of senior football, cheerleaders, band and booster club members will be the only parents allowed.
3.  Teachers can bring their own children or families only if they are accompanied by another adult who could supervise their children in the event of an emergency.  Please let me know if you will be bringing family.

For Celebration: 
1.  All fall sports teams will be recognized.
2.   All clubs and groups are encouraged to create our banners that will inspire a BE win on Thanksgiving!

 Posters:  Please remember that all posters and flyers need to be approved by an admin and should be hung only in designated areas.  If your event  has passed, please be sure to send students around to take down flyers for events that have already occurred.
