Our local mini-grant applications are due on October 31st. Bristol Public Schools through the Bristol Business Education Foundation will fund up to $2000 per grant approved. Some of you have mentioned a need for students to develop study skills, especially our ninth grade teams, could this be a way to purchase materials and incentives to encourage that developments? Yes! Some of you have asked about purchasing incentive for students who have maintained their positive behavior for a period of time. Could this be a way to purchase those? Yes! Some of you have mentioned a need for differentiated texts to meet students' reading interests or books of non-fiction essays to better meet the common core. Could this be a way to purchase those? There is also another mini-grant available to teachers. $500 for individual teachers/classrooms and up to $2000 for school-wide projects. The grant has been created to encourage teachers' development and implementation of CCSS activities in the classroom. Please email me for the application.
